THE HUMMINGBIRD—BY CYNTHIA DE BOER

The late summer rain had just stopped – I was sitting on the park bench on our front porch listening to the distant thunder and smelling the freshness that fills the air after a rain shower when a tiny hummingbird danced from one grape vine to another. It moved as fast as lightening and then its body was motionless as its wings flapped so hard and fast that you could barely see them.

Wow, What a gift to be able to enjoy this magical little bird!

Authors Note:  This little story was written on the 25th of July in 2007. It was amazing watching this little bird dance through the air.  The gorgeous photo comes from Unsplash by Bill Williams.
